FREE training in Film-Making Skills

With the plethora of costly courses on offer in the media industry it is a pleasure to bring information about a charity which provides young people with free training to develop technical, creative and personal skills through film-making.

BoldFace Productions are part of CTVC, an award winning British Media company producing television, radio and new media content on social issues, current affairs, religion, ethics, history and education.  Through their diverse partnerships – from  MTV and the British Film Institute to Battlefront and Shed Media – they train young people from a range of backgrounds to make outstanding films about issues that they care about.

One of their popular initiatives is a fortnightly workshop with guest speakers and professionals held on a Wednesday evening in Tower Bridge. They offer the workshop completely free to young people between the ages of 16-25 and often include speakers from Television as well as the film industry.

Their next FREE workshop is Wednesday April 11th (yes that is tomorrow!) with film director Marc Price, writer and director of amongst other films, Colin, a zombie movie that went on to win Raindance Best Micro-Budget Film 2009, Raindance nomination for Best Independent Film 2009, and Official Selection for FrightFest 2009 and 2010.

You’ll be able to quiz him on how to produce a film on a low budget, working with actors, fight scene and developing your work as film-makers. You can his showreel here:
