Could You Be A Female Expert on TV?….

Could You Be A Female Expert on TV?….…not if you are male – obviously…!

The BBC Academy, which offers training and development in the broadcast industry, is setting up a special FREE training day for female experts who are interested in presenting on TV, radio or online.

Television producers are often on the look-out for experts in certain subjects to present features, news items or even entire TV shows or documentaries. They may simply need an expert to comment on topical news stories related to that area of expertise.

If you are an expert and fancy trying your hand at presenting that subject in the media. or if you are already a TV presenter and want to know how to exploit your expertise specifically as an expert then this day could be enormously useful to you.

This particular day plans to focus on the following areas of expertise:

Science

History

Politics

Business

Engineering

There are also plans for more sessions on later dates for other subject areas.

So if you reckon you could be the female Brian Cox, Dan Snow or Andrew Marr get applying for this training!

You will need to apply for the training day by sending your CV and a couple of paragraphs explaining what your USP (unique selling point) as a presenter/TV expert is to expertwomen@bbc.co.uk.

DEADLINE FOR ALL SUBMISSIONS IS NOVEMBER 16TH.

And sorry boys, sure there’ll be a day just for you sometime!
