A quick mention for a TV networking event that may be of interest. It’s being held in London by  ‘Telly Talk London’ to raise money for charity whilst also celebrating the television industry. It aims to cover such topics as

• How does the industry work?

• How do you get a foot in the door?

• How do you make contacts?

• What’s the different between a Producer and a Production Manager?

• How do you stand out in a highly competitive industry?

• What do you do when you get ‘stuck’?

All these questions will be answered by a top team of professionals including Production Manager and MD of ‘The Unit List’ Jude Winstanley and Executive Producer Cassie Braban. (I’d be there myself if I weren’t running away in the month of August!)

Every ticket holder will be entered into a raffle to win some television-related prizes. From Television literature to C.V. consultations with top professionals (including yours truly – if I can’t be there in person I can at least offer to be a raffle prize!), to industry work experience.
